"Jesus says, 'Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them and you will have them.' "
I found this quote inside one of those lame Bible magazines someone had left on a bus back in Madison. This just goes to show that the answers to the secret of life have always been coming from everywhere. In order to receive the things you desire in your life you must first become a vibrational match to them. This means living your life with the attitude that you already have the things that you desire.
Last week I spent my time desiring a safe and adventurous trip to Belgium. My 2 girlfriends and I traveled using couchsurfing.com and indeed we were given an experience that was as priceless as the couches we surfed for free.
Also, I had begun focusing my attention on receiving a digital camera. While my camera did not arrive before I left for Belgium, surely enough it arrived in its own time. When I returned from Belgium and was talking to the father and step-mother about my trip, they revealed to me that they had a surprise. "Don't tell her!" Cindy said. ""Is it a camera?" I asked, but really I knew. Thanks guys, I am sending vibrational waves of gratitude your way as I PATIENTLY await the arrival of my latest desire.
Now that I am back from my fairy tale weekend abroad, it is time to focus on some things that really matter: performing and school...I'm not really sure about the order, I think they're equal. I have now begun starting my day with a long bike ride through the Dutch countryside (you know, instead of having coffee). The first half is spent aligning myself with the present moment, and the second half is spent focusing on the desires I wish to bring to fruition. (I really like that word, "fruition"). I focus now on aligning myself with creativity in order to write my set to go on stage next week and be the funniest I have ever been. For my friends it is a performance, for the Comedy Cafe it is an audition. If they like me, they will ask me to come back and be a part of their "Talent Show", which allows me the opportunity to move up every few weeks and finally the opportunity to perform with the professionals in one final show.
I was working with a spiritual guru named Jeremy right before I left Madison. He is the one who taught me that I do not simply "will" things into my life because I focus my attention on them, but rather that I surrender to them. The first step in learning what it is to surrender is indeed figuring out what surrendering means to YOU. For me surrendering means learning not to stand in my own way. I am capable and deserving of the things I desire in my life, mainly success, true love, and happiness. The good news is that so are you. You just have to believe it.
I'm off to have the best day of my life!
Namaste,
jes
ps. this picture is a google image of the most beautiful city I have seen thus far, Brugge. Also known as the Venice of the North

I always enjoy reading and viewing your blogs. I am glad that you are learning to “surrender” yourself. Because you can't make things happen for you; you can only allow opportunities to find you and then take advantage of them. Good luck on your journey.
By the way that is a gorgeous picture.
My favorite posting yet. :) I will think about you and your wonderful morning rides to get me through my morning traffic jams.
